Trademark office rejects Watchtower's application for "JW.Org" logo
by AndDontCallMeShirley inhttp://tsdr.uspto.gov/#casenumber=85896124&casetype=serial_no&searchtype=statussearch.
even though watchtower's application has been rejected, they will be allowed to use the logo because it is for religious usage and will not be confused with commercial products.. the trademark office did note this:.
indeed, numerous other marks are registered reflecting the letters j and w:.

hello everyone

You're not alone matey. I've had lots of tiny doubts for decades ( trumpet blasts = ohio convention, flip floppery about sodom and gomorrah, dodgy explanations of 'generations, really? ) but I've come to the point of not believing any of it now. But I'm still in. Got good friends and family, at the moment the cost of keeping them is keeping my mouth shut and attending some meetings, while doing a very token ministry. Fair price at the moment for me(other reasons apply too).
Idon't know if I'll ever leave either, but I'm working on it while trying to help my wife think more about what we're told to believe... Takes time....

Hiya purrpurr, we'll done with that nerve wracking first step of creating an account on an APOSTATE forum! When I started posting, I was certain I would get found out immediately, as it was, I WAS grassed up eventually so please be careful as to what details you provide on here..
Take you time. I thought I had it figured out in weeks but life's MUCH MUCH bigger than that. Read, read, read. Ask questions here that you would never have dared to at the KH. And be aware that you'll always get a variety of answers that will require more reading!
Welcome matey!

The spelling fairy says: It's 'atheist', not 'athiest'
by Apognophos inatheists are people who are "a-" (without) "theism" (a belief in god).
they are not "athiests"; they are not "athier" than everyone else, nor is "athy" a word.. .
this isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but it's a mistake i see every day on here and i thought it might be nice to have a topic we can bump just to periodically remind people of the proper spelling, especially since they are sometimes referring to their very own beliefs.

Serious lack of empathy there. No consoling words, not even a kindly tone of voice, Yeh maybe his hands were tied regarding his training and all that, but JEEZ any HUMAN would be more sympathetic than that. Even if it's a nut, it's a nut in pain.

the GOOD NEWS thread..
by disposable hero of hypocrisy insince the spin we get from the wt and from the platform is very one sided, always banging on about how terrible the world is and how it's never been worse and mankind is going to hades in a handcart, how's about a good news thread?
i don't know about you guys but i try to share the good stuff as much as possible, because i feel it un-demonises 'worldly' people, helps witnesses see its not cut and dry, black and white, us and them.
there are millions of decent hardworking charitable people out there trying to make a difference for the community at large.

Or this chap. Doctor chap. Willingly giving up his time and effort along with dozen of other doctor chaps to providing a motorcycle ambulance service to be first responders , saving people's lives. All voluntary. Brilliant, and worth a listen.

No way in gehenna is yhwh going to mercilessly kill people like these for not listening to my crappy half-arsed magazine presentation on a Saturday morning.
So, from the very large scale, maybe pinker's facts and figures if they're not too contested (I haven't got the concensus on thatyet) to the very local or small scale like this
Let's post stuff here that we can share on our Facebook pages and help dispel the myth of the wicked evil 'worldlies'.
